Job Description

The Photographer is responsible for capturing the vibrant and dynamic experiences of campers throughout the season. This role involves taking high-quality photographs of daily activities, cabin photos, and spontaneous moments that reflect the camp’s lively atmosphere and the joy of camper interactions. Capture footage that will be used for promotional purposes. 

  • Present the story of Timber-lee’s summer programs through capturing and editing photos.
  • Take and print weekly camper cabin photos.
  • Strive to photograph each cabin equally throughout the week.
  • Connect with department directors at the beginning of each week to determine the best time(s) to photograph in their areas during the week.
  • Edit, organize, and upload summer photos to an online camp album daily, for use on the website, social media, in brochures and in other promotional endeavors.
  • Organize photographs each week.
  • Collaborate with Media team to plan content for social media sites.

Positional

  • Demonstrates abilities with still photography using a DSLR camera.
  • Is comfortable with Mac photo software, specifically Adobe Lightroom.
  • Has organizational skills.
  • Has excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Works well with children and youth.
  • Is physically capable of taking part in camp activities in order to achieve desired photos.
  • Is able to physically traverse the multi-terrain campground in all seasons of the year; able to be on one’s feet for long periods of time.

Candidates must be at least 18 years of age at time of hire to be considered for this position.
